So! Here it is!
Today, my bf and I celebrated our one year anniversary! He bought me really pretty flowers (+5 pts), and we drove to DC to the Regal 14 in Chinatown to see The Road.
That movie was really depressing. It depicts a man and his young son, trying to survive a post-apocalyptic world where death is "a luxury they [couldn't] afford." There are some pretty horrible cannibal scenes (because that's what happens when people get hungry enough, apparently), and you're left in suspense the entire movie, wondering if/when they're going to die.
Point being, it's not something I'd recommend watching on a date. (-3pts)
After the movie, we headed over to Ben's Chili Bowl for some chili dogs (+2pts). $5.20 for a jumbo all beef chili dog/ halfsmoke, which is actually pretty expensive and not all that filling now that I think about it. (-2pts)
Because it was such a mood killer, I've now guilted him into having to watch New Moon with me. =) I think it'll be fun(ny)! Can't wait! (+2pts...-2pts?)
