Japanese research paper
Is almost complete!
This is the second time I've spent more than 4 hours at the library this semester. My phonology research paper is due tomorrow at 12:30, as well as my group's presentation.
I kind of missed writing research reports. I feel like I'm actually learning something (for once?), and I can use it as a reference (maybe application essay?) for when I finally enter grad school. Basically, I'm analyzing Japanese Speakers of English (which I've shortened to JSE in my paper) and the mistakes that they make in English speech, and cross-referencing those mistakes with the Japanese phonetic inventory and phonology (mora, rendaku, etc).
Since this paper is due tomorrow, (and it's for Phonology, not syntax) I'm not going to research any possible grammar contributions, although I think I might end up researching that aspect of Japanese on my own anyway.
Ok! My little break is over. Back to work!
